Welcome to my new page!
This site will explore the damage animal rights activists are causing by trying to make animals equal to people. The whole unspoken goal of animal rights is to eliminate animal ownership totally. No pets, no farm animals, no zoos no nothing. And since AR knows they can not just come out and say that they are doing it in increments. Mandatory spay/neuter, breed bans, anti tethering laws, exorbitant fees for licensing non altered animals, animal limits these are all ways that animal rights groups are trying to destroy pet ownership by making it too expensive to own a pet. AR is also working against farmers with trying to destroy established farming practices by saying that the methods are inhumane and pressuring the farmers to change their ways. At the farmers then the consumers expense.
I needed a place to promote the growing view and opinions of people that like me are either victims of unnecessary or illegal raids, or owners of animals that want to continue to be able to humanely breed, raise, show, sell and eat animals. This page is about ANIMAL WELFARE. According to Wikipedia and in Saunders Comprehensive Veterinary Dictionary, animal welfare is defined as "the avoidance of abuse and exploitation of animals by humans by maintaining appropriate standards of accommodation, feeding and general care, the prevention and treatment of disease and the assurance of freedom from harassment, and unnecessary discomfort and pain.
I firmly believe that animals were put here for our use and we were told to care for them humanely. I firmly believe that animals are ANIMALS and while they have the right to humane care from birth to death, they do not deserve the same rights as we humans have. We have domesticated many types of animals over the centuries and made it so that those animals are dependent on our care. Animals do not earn themselves a living, pay taxes or support themselves in anyway. Now I am talking about domestic animals here. Wild animals are able to care for themselves without interference from humans and that includes feral cats, dogs, horses, and the like. Because of the fact that domestic animals need us to survive that means in the simplest terms that they can not be equal to us in rights. Just like our children are not equal to us in rights. We make our children do many things that they do not want to do because they are dependent on us. Could you imagine the chaos if we told our teenagers that they had the same rights as us??? SHUDDER! With rights comes responsibilities and like our children, animals are unable to live up to those responsibilities. Therefore, they can not have the rights.
